Heres one for all the lovers...
So i was looking at peoples clothes today (what else is new...), and i realized that fit is really what its all about. There's this boy in my honors civ class who is a pretty snazzy dresser, but today his suit jacket was too big for him, and it would have looked AMAZING had it fit perfectly. Granted, it looked pretty good, but it could have been perfect. Really guys, tailors are worth it.
Last night i was talking to my friend Halfsie and we were talking about Prison Break and the good and bad characters on the show. (if you haven't seen it, you must watch it! its incredible) But the result was me thinking all day about good vs bad, and what necessarily constitutes a person as "good" or "bad". I decided that no one can be deemed either without looking deeper into their actions. We are essentially a sum of our parts, and each thing we do adds another pebble into that good or bad basket. But what about repentance, where we can erase the bad things we do and keep our good basket full? I think that as long as we are tempted, and being in a carnal state we give into those temptations, and i don't know if anyone can be labeled purely good. We all have good and bad in us, and its all about which we choose to rule over the other. Tell me what you think, Natalie. Hahaha. The end.

oh, dana, can i just say that i love that you have at least one picture for every post, even if it is completely unrelated.
ReplyDeletein response to your good vs. evil thing, i think that as long as we are trying to do good all the time, we can consider ourselves good. you can't just be a jerk all the time and then donate a million dollars to charity and expect it to cancel out all the bad stuff. it has to be consistent effort towards goodness. but, yeah, we're all going to mess up sometimes and thank goodness for the atonement.
